Bob Johnson founded Star Hi Enterprises, Inc. in 1969, building the giant fiberglass “Super Slides” that became staples at amusement parks across the Midwest. In 1975, Bob transitioned the business into Industrial Fiberglass Inc., focusing on industrial and municipal fiberglass products that demanded higher strength, corrosion resistance, and precision fabrication. Today, we continue that legacy of craftsmanship and reliability, having expanded to Rock Island, Illinois, in 2022 to better serve customers across the Midwest. While our reach has grown, we’ve stayed true to our small-business roots—treating every client with respect and every project with expert attention.
